Galactic halos refer to spherical regions, encompassing individual galaxies, which are mainly composed of dark matter. The scientists have not yet succeeded in identifying the exact nature of this dark matter but its gravitational effects on galaxies, stars and other matters in the universe is quite prominent and this helps the researchers to deduce theories about its existence.
