The six-week-old party of Slovenian political newcomer Miro Cerar, who’s vowed to reconsider state-asset sales, won a snap election, an exit poll showed.

Cerar’s party got 36.9 percent of the vote, beating jailed ex-Premier Janez Jansa’s Slovenian Democratic Party, which got 19.2 percent, according to a Mediana survey released today by public broadcaster TV Slovenija.
