Simone Battle, who was a part of the five-member pop band G.R.L., was found dead at her Hollywood home on Saturday (Sept. 6). The autopsy conducted on Sunday determined Battle’s death as a suicide after her boyfriend found her body hanging in the closet of the apartment they shared. She was last seen alive at 3:45 a.m. Friday before committing suicide four hours later.
The 25-year-old singer was an X Factor finalist in 2011, but recently found success with her four bandmates when they collaborated with Pitbull on his song “Wild Wild Love.” The song was performed on ABC’s Good Morning America last month, and rose to No. 30 on Billboard’s Hot 100 this year.
