Sinai patients infected with ‘superbug’

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center has become the second Los Angeles hospital reporting an outbreak of an antibiotic-resistant "superbug" linked to a type of medical scope.

The hospital on Wednesday said four patients were infected with the superbug carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae, or CRE, which can kill up to 50 percent of infected patients.
