Simbrinza Gets Approval to Treat Glaucoma

Novartis AG which is a Swiss pharmaceutical company announced on Monday that Alcon's Simbrinza eye drops suspension of the eye care division has been approved by the European Commission.

The company said that the launch of Simbrinza in Europe will commence in the third quarter of 2014 in the UK which will be followed by other European markets towards the end of 2014 and in 2015. Simbrinza was approved by the US FDA and has been available in the US markets from 2013.
