A video has emerged showing ISIS militants blowing up the ancient ruins of the Assyrian city of Nimrud, after destroying artifacts believed to be some 3,000 years old.

It allegedly shows Islamic State thugs hammering and drilling away at ancient sculptures and slabs, before bulldozing and blowing up the ruins, located near the militant-held city of Mosul, completely obliterating the site which dates back to the 13th century B.C.
