A shallow earthquake was detected near North Korea’s nuclear site, pointing to a potential atomic test on the anniversary of the country’s founding.
South Korea’s government said North Korea may have conducted a nuclear test, Yonhap News reported, citing an unidentified government official. South Korea’s joint chiefs of staff said the earthquake was artificial in nature and was detected around 9.30am Seoul time.
