NEW YORK — It had been raining in spurts during a recent preview performance of the Public Theater's new Much Ado About Nothing (**** out of four stars) at Central Park's Delacorte Theater, so that by the time Beatrice and Benedick finally confronted their feelings for each other in the second act, the stage was, frankly, drenched.
