Shaken by suicide, farmers say don’t delay relief

NEW DELHI: It was a hot and dusty Delhi afternoon when hundreds of farmers joined Aam Aadmi Party's protest against the Centre's Land Acquisition Bill on Wednesday. Most of them claimed they had suffered losses in the recent rain and were heavily indebted. Although land acquisition was an issue for them, they said getting compensation from their state governments was the more urgent concern.

A farmer's suicide amid the agitation left many of them shaken.
