The popular podcast “Serial” returned on Thursday morning, with the first episode of the second season that features Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who spent five years in captivity at the hands of the Taliban until the Obama administration negotiated his release in exchange for five Taliban detainees at Guantanamo Bay in May 2014.
