With senate going on break, doc fix postponed until mid-April

In spite of pressure from the House and President Obama, the senate adjourned on Friday for spring break without passing a repeal of Medicare’s SGR formula for physician reimbursement.

It is expected that the Senate will pass the legislation soon after they return on April 13. Otherwise, physicians will take a 21% cut in Medicare reimbursements, slated to kick in on March 31.
