Semen Test For Prostate Cancer May Diagnose Early Warning Signs

Testing semen for certain biomarkers may prove to be an effective means of prostate cancer screening, according to research conducted at the University of Adelaide. The study, published in the journal Endocrine-Related Cancer, analyzed semen samples of 60 men.

The team found small molecules called microRNAs, noting that they are "surprisingly accurate" at showing which men had prostate cancer and how severe it is.
