Search 30 diabetes drugs approved by the FDA in the past decade

All 30 of these diabetes drugs were approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration without proof they improved clinical measures, such as such as reducing heart attacks or strokes, blindness or other complications of the disease. Instead, they were approved based on surrogate measures such as reducing blood-sugar levels.

The number of incidents is taken from the FDA's Adverse Events Reporting System, which collects case reports from health-care providers, pharmaceutical companies and the general public.
