Last June, former Facebook president Sean Parker's lavish wedding near an environmentally sensitive redwood forest made headlines. According to some officials, Sean Parker had violated the Coastal Act at that time. In settlement over the claims, Parker was ordered to pay $2.5 million.
Recently, Parker has given $1.4 million grant to eight education and conservation projects and organizations in the Big Sur area. Now, California Coastal Commission's officials have released a statement, which provided more details about the grant for preservation and outreach efforts from Parker.
