Sea-monkeys Movement causes Oceanic Currents and Waves: Study

A new discovery by a Caltech researchers revealed that daily movements of sea creatures add power to the waves. These findings prove that ocean currents are generated not only by large-scale physical phenomena like wind and tides, but also can be caused by living creatures.

The study says that movement of "sea monkeys" (the toy-store aquarium pets that are actually brine shrimp) from the depth of the seas to its surface makes seas, as much volatile as powerful winds. Their simultaneous movements exert pressure and release energy that can move seas.
