Scientists wonder about circular formations on Mars as they cannot yet explain the rare and strange formations recently discovered on the planet. The Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter has recently captured the new image showing that the new finding is a formation in the shape of a circle of 1.2 mile wide in the Red Planets Athabasca region. Around 80 percent of all craters in the Athabasca Valles region are in fact secondary craters from the impact that created the Zuni crater.
