Scientists provide new insights into Supernovae theories after examining ocean floor dust

Scientists have found extraterrestrial dust from the last 25 million years settled on ocean bed. The dust is believed to be ejected from supernovae.

Supernovae are exploding stars and release as much as tremendous energy produced in our Sun every second. Small amounts of debris from these distant explosions fall on the earth as it travels through the galaxy.
