Scientists mull methane-based, oxygen-free life on Saturn’s moon Titan

When it comes to ‘life’, the first two words coming to mind is ‘oxygen’ and our planet ‘Earth’. But now a group of scientists have developed a solid model, suggesting a new type of methane-based and oxygen-free life form that could potentially thrive in the harsh icy conditions of the ringed-planet Saturn’s baffling freezing moon, Titan.

The study, conducted by the researchers at Cornell University, has showed “the first concrete blueprint of life not as we know it”.
