Scientists Find Missing Evolutionary Link Between Horses and Rhinos

Near a coal mine in India, a research team from Johns Hopkins University found a fossil which they believe fills an evolutionary gap between modern horses and rhinos a ‘Cambaytherium thewissi’. They believe the animal group likely originated on the Indian subcontinent, when it was actually still an island on a collision course with Asia.
