Scientists Discover New Poison Dart Frog Sub Species

In the wake of dramatic climate change news and the controversial discovery that the global wildlife population is shrinking every day it is always a bit uplifting to see that nature continues to find a way, as they say. In Rio Cano, Panama, today, scientists believe they have discovered a brand new species of poison dart frog.

Researchers from the combined efforts of the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute, The Universidad de los Andes, in Colombia, and the Universidad Autonoma de Chiriqui in Panama have found and cataloged a new, bright orange poison dart frog with a unique call which they had never seen before.
