Scientists Detect Possible Rings around Chiron

In 1977, astronomers had discovered a centaur, now known as Chiron. And now, with the help of latest technology, they have found that that there are more than 40,000 centaurs in our solar system, which are larger than 1 kilometer in diameter.

A year back, scientists discovered that Chariklo named centaur had rings around it and recently MIT scientists have suspected that Chiron, which is estimated to be around 80 miles in diameter, may also have rings around it.
