A sprinting robotic velociraptor has been designed by researchers at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology's (KAIST) MSC Lab. The Raptor has been designed to have a tail for dynamic balance control and an Achilles tendon to absorb shock. Also, it has more mechanical bits like carbon/epoxy composite legs along with a running pattern generator.

South Korean research university KAIST got inspired from the past as the design was taken from a dinosaur that roamed on earth some 75 million years ago.
