Saturday night (July 5) will witness waxing gibbous moon that will hide or eclipse Mars for a short time. But this will only be witnessed by the people living in the occultation zone.
Moon, which is in the first quarter phase, will be 58 % illuminated. It will appear in very close proximity to Mars. So, looking at the sky on this particular night one will be able to see moon along with an orange-yellow "star" hovering just above it.
