The Hunger Games phenomena has been sweeping the nation since the first book's initial release in 2008. The story of 16 year Katniss Everdeen's struggle to survive in the post-apocalyptic nation's celebrated gladiator battle, known as the Hunger Games, has captivated audiences old and young.
In 2012 Lionsgate Films brought the pages to life by adapting the book for the screen. Hunger Games was followed to Hollywood by it's sequel, Catching Fire in 2013 and now part one of the trilogy's finale, Mockingjay, is set to be released Friday.
