Safety Experts: CDC Has Lax Safety Practices

The Center for Disease Control which recently had mishaps in labs involving some of the most dangerous pathogens in the world, does not have adequate training, lacks a commitment of leadership toward safety and there exists a significant percentage of employees who due to being afraid do not report accidents, according to its own advisers.

The CDC posted the report of their safety experts this week on their website. It was dated January 13, six months after Tom Frieden the CDC director testified in front of Congress that he had taken a number of steps to address issues of safety.
