Sacramento-area gas prices, seemingly frozen in place in the first half of October, fell to the $2.65-a-gallon threshold over the past week, according to national gas price tracker GasBuddy.com.
With the 1.4-cent decline, local at-the-pump costs are now 7.3 cents lower than one month ago and 62 cents lower than they were at this time last year.
