Rosetta Spacecraft Releases First Colored Image of Comet 67P

For the very first time, the Rosetta spacecraft has released the first ever colored image of the Comet 67P's barren surface. The photo shows space rock with show valleys, cliffs and craters as a dusty mix of red and brown.

To create the stunning "true color" photo of the Manhattan-sized comet, the European space probe used its high-powered camera OSIRIS.
