Rosetta Spacecraft Completes its Journey and Captures Images of Comet 67P

Rosetta, a spacecraft launched in March 2005 by European Space Agency has competed its 9 years of mission by coming closer to the orbit of a comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. The high resolution technology used in its narrow-angle Optical, Spectroscopic, and Infrared Remote Imaging System camera has allowed the scientists to obtain the information from the black and white stills.

The comet 67P is a comet with a current orbital period of 6.45 years and a rotation period of approximately 12.7 hours.
