A recent image sent by Rosetta spacecraft shows the weird structure of comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. The image shows the diversity of surface structures on the nucleus of the comet. The photo was taken on August 7, 2014 when Rosetta was about 104 kilometers away from the nucleus of comet.
According to European Space Agency, the photo is different from people's expectations. Rosetta's image shows that the comet isn't in potato shape. Rosetta will help ESA to prepare for landing a probe on the nucleus of 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. The probe is planned to land in November.
