Rosetta’s Lander Philae to land on Comet 67P’s surface at Site “J”

It has been reported that the European Space Agency’s spacecraft Rosetta will lower its lander Philae on the surface of the comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko at a site, which scientists have codenamed as “J”.

Warwick Holmes, an Australian avionics engineer, said that the location “J” has been chosen out of five preliminary sites that were shortlisted in August. He said the landing site “J” was liked by most of the Rosetta management team.
