Rosetta Mission’s Astronomers aim to know more about Early Solar System Formation

Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko is the target of ESA's Rosetta mission, which comprises the Rosetta orbiter and the Philae lander. Main aim of the European Space Agency's mission is to know about the comet and conditions faced by the comet when it makes the closest approach to the sun.

The research based on the comet findings will help astronomers to know more on how the early solar system was formed. As per experts, comets are leftovers of the time when the solar system was not more than a collection of rocky and icy objects.
