Ken Burns has become the documentary filmmaker of out time with his amazing portraits of topics as layer as the Civil War, Baseball, and Jazz to name a few. His new film is titled The Roosevelts: An Intimate History. It starts with Teddy Roosevelt’s rise to the Presidency through Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s leadership during World War II, and ends with the death of Eleanor Roosevelt in 1962. So much of what we know about the Roosevelts comes from myth and legend rather than fact.

The image of Teddy running up San Juan hill or FDR’s ability to keep his wheelchair from the public are just the surface levels of these great men.
