The fitness guru's name was trending on social media after friends told the Daily News that his live-in housekeeper, Teresa Reveles, was controlling his life and blocking access to him. Multiple sources told the paper that they hadn't heard from Simmons in two years.
But Simmons hit back in a phone interview on "Today," saying, "No one is holding me in my house as a hostage. You know, I do what I want to do as I've always done so people should sort of just believe what I have to say because like I'm Richard Simmons!"
