Restaurant Chains Cutting Calories To Improve Health Statistics

It is pretty common knowledge that obesity is a huge problem in America and the food industry knows that if they want to maintain business levels they need to address the situation by introducing new food items to menus across the country. Restaurant chains, then, have added many different items this year, with lower calories in an attempt to encourage people to continue eating at their establishments.

According to a study conducted by Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health the new items, which are understandably mostly sandwiches and salads, contain about 60 fewer calories per serving, on average.
