Residents of Washington and Oregon notice Strange Milky-Colored Rain

Scientists are working hard to find out accurately where the 'mystery ash' currently plaguing the Pacific Northwest originated from. They are pointing to volcanic eruptions in Russia as the source. Recently, people in Washington and Oregon observed a strange milky-colored rain falling on them and preliminary investigations suggest that it contained high amount of ash mixed well with water.

The Walla Walla County Emergency department officials said that strange ash was most possibly carried by global wind currents that picked up an ash plume, which took place on January 26 from the Shiveluch volcano in northeastern Russia.
