Researchers use Powerful Laser Beams to make New Hydrophobic Metal

Metal surfaces may now last longer and be more suitable for a wide range of purposes as the researchers at the University of Rochester have discovered a method for using powerful laser beams that are capable of doing so.

The research team was led by Chunlei Guo, a professor of optics and physics at UR and Anatoliy Vorobyev, senior researcher with Guo at UR's Institute of Optics. They both have provided all the details related to this study in the Tuesday edition of the Journal of Applied Physics.
