Researchers Use a Drone to Study Whales

Researchers from National Oceanic and Atmosphere Administration (NOAA) in collaboration with Vancouver Aquarium used a robotic aerial to study the behavior of killer whales. Drone is the most cost-effective way to study whale population, said researchers.

The team of marine biologists used a custom-built hexacopter equipped with a high resolution camera.
