According to a new research there is a strong relationship between optimism and healthy heart. The researchers at University of Illinois have said that an optimistic approach in all walks of life can keep ones heart healthy. According to the researchers people who have a positive approach and buoyant look at life have better cardiovascular health. Rosalba Hernandez form the University of Illinois said, “People having optimism at its highest levels have two times the odds of being in supreme cardiovascular health against those pessimistic counterparts”. Hernandez then said, “This association remains significant, even after adjusting for socio-demographic characteristics and poor mental health”.

The researchers have confirmed that, to assess the cardiovascular health they checked seven metrics, which are blood pressure, fasting plasma glucose and serum cholesterol levels, body mass index, physical activity, dietary intake and tobacco.
