Researchers find “expensive” placebos work just like real drugs

A new study conducted by researchers from the University of Cincinnati and published in the journal Neurology suggests that placebos or dummy pills work better when patients think they are expensive drugs, and a research conducted with Parkinson’s patients indicate that placebos can be nearly as effective as genuine medications when high price tags are attached to them.
