Researchers discover Ultra-small Bacteria having volume of 0.009 cubic microns

Researchers from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory of the US Department of Energy have discovered bacteria that are so tiny that they measure a volume of 0.009 cubic microns.

The researchers affirmed that these microbes are found in groundwater and are considered to be the lowest form of life, which can only be seen through electron microscope. Despite their size, these bacteria have adequate internal material to sustain life.
