One of the lectionary readings from Scripture which will be read in many churches in another week is from the book of Acts written by the Apostle Luke. It is the account of Tabitha who is called a Disciple (Acts 9). Tabitha, according to Scripture went about doing good and helping the poor. Tabitha died, her body was prepared for burial and they sent for the Apostle Peter who was in a nearby town. Peter came, prayed, and then turning to the body, told Tabitha to get up and she did. This incident caused many to become believers upon seeing Tabitha alive when she had been dead.
We, who are quite taken with our scientific knowledge, may refute this account in Scripture as being impossible and inconceivable. She was probably just unconscious or in a coma or a deep sleep we might opine.
