News about the Ebola virus persists. Another doctor, who was infected with the disease while treating patients in Liberia, recently returned to the United States. Dr. Rick Sacra, a family physician from Massachusetts, is the latest U.S. victim diagnosed with the disease. He arrived at the Nebraska Medical Center on Sept. 5, where he was declared “sick but stable” by medical staff.
That same evening Matt Lauer’s interview with Dr. Kent Brantly aired on NBC. Brantly and his colleague, Nancy Writebol, were the first American medical personnel diagnosed with the disease.
