Reality TV roundup: No fairytale ending for Juan Pablo

Narcissist or Misunderstood? Whether you hate him or love him, Juan Pablo Galavis brought the drama, tears and controversy all season long and ended his quest for love with a whirlwind spectacle this week. No ring. No three little words. No fairy tale ending. Chris Harrison hosted the three hour special, and things got intense. The last dates before the final rose ceremony went south quickly with JP leaving the final women in tears. After a helicopter ride with Clare Crawley, Juan leaned in without cameras or microphones on and insulted her with sexual remarks. She confronted him later that night, but Juan seemed confused that he had done anything wrong, talking in circles. In true Juan Pablo fashion, the Bachelor was able to charm his way back into Clare’s good books and she forgave him. But at the final rose ceremony, Juan took Clare by the hand and casually told her that he had to say goodbye. She didn’t take the news well. “I thought I knew what kind of man you were. I lost respect for you,” she snapped. “I would never want my children to have a father like you.” And she left on a boat in tears. When Nikki Ferrell appeared, Juan confessed he would like to continue dating her but there would be no proposal. “I have a ring in my pocket but I’m not going to use it,” Juan acknowledged. She didn’t even get an “I love you.” Nikki looked crushed but she accepted the final rose anyway. JP complicated things further when he posted a video tribute to Nikki the next day on YouTube titled, Adventures in Loving You. What an ending to the most intense season of The Bachelor yet.
