Real-life 'Concussion' doctor says film captures struggle to expose CTE risks

In the new movie "Concussion," a former NFL team physician played by Alec Baldwin peers through a microscope at the damaged brain tissue of football players who died young. Shaken, he describes the blinkered perspective of doctors charged with getting injured athletes back in the game.

"You've got to be part of it to understand," Baldwin's character says ruefully. "… It's mechanics trying to keep cars on the racetrack."
