The re-election of Rick Scott, Governor of Florida, and Scott Walker, Governor of Wisconsin, means that future of Medicaid expansion under the Affordable Care Act is unlikely to change. According to reports, re-election will limit the impact on the Medicaid expansion.

Rick Scott, who is a member of the Republican Party, has supported the expansion, which would expand coverage to more than 845,000 people. Scott has never advocated for Medicaid expansion.On the other hand, American Republican Party politician Walker has always opposed the expansion.
