Ratings: AMAs Slip, Football Pops, Mulaney Down, Madam Sec'y Eyes Gain

ABC’s broadcast of the American Music Awards on Sunday night drew 11.6 million total viewers and a 3.8 demo rating, down 10 and 16 percent year-over-year but scoring its best numbers in a decade among Teens 12-17.

Providing extra-stiff competition for the AMAs was NBC’s well-watched Sunday Night Football match-up between the Cowboys and Giants (19.8 mil/7.1), which was up 9 and 18 percent from last week’s fast nationals.
