Rangers at Glacier National Park euthanize black bear

On Thursday, Glacier National Park’s rangers killed a black bear in Apgar Village, following many reports that the bear displayed food-conditioned behaviors.

Weighing roughly 100 pounds, the bear was part of an incident at Fish Creek Campground held on Tuesday, June 7, wherein the animal grabbed food from an open vehicle trunk at a busy campsite when campers were having food at a picnic table some feet away.
