His farm-to-table fine dining room closed Aug. 1. Since then the chef has been in demand as a restaurant consultant, working with businesses like 92-year-old James Coney Island and pub king HUSA Management.
Word came this week that the 40-year-old has taken a new title, director and chef of restaurants for San Antonio-based H-E-B. Evans was a consultant on Table 57, H-E-B's first restaurant within one of its grocery stores.
