Queen marks end of UK’s 13 years in Afghanistan

LONDON — Queen Elizabeth II and Britain’s prime minister are joining veterans in a service to commemorate the end of Britain’s combat operations in Afghanistan.

Prince William, his pregnant wife Kate, and Prince Harry — who served two tours during the conflict — will also attend the ceremony to remember the war dead at London’s St. Paul’s Cathedral.
