Quantum mechanics researchers discover two photons interaction through Glass Threads

A team of researchers at Vienna University of Technology have carried out a significant discovery in the field of quantum mechanics. The groundbreaking discovery has led two photons to interact with each other, though two light particles never do so. Till now, scientists were able to affect photons using “non-linear media”, but only at high intensities, implying the presence of countless photons. It is for the first time that with the help of some special instruments, two photons could be interacted.
